State licensure/certification as an Emergency Medical Responder or higher in the appropriate state of practice.
CPR Certification.
Must meet the driving requirements and criteria acceptable to Essentia Health’s insurer.
State background check must provide clearance to work with vulnerable adults.
Current (valid) US/State Driver’s License.
Work Experience:
NIMS 100, 200, 700
Over 75, need to have medical permission
Job Description:
Responds to emergent and non-emergent calls, assists as a team member in the treatment of patients for emergency needs; reports patient information to medical staff in a timely and accurate manner as allowed by their certification and EMS Medical Director. Safely operates the ambulance during emergent and non-emergent transports. May be requested to provide patient care in the hospital setting performing tasks delegated by the RN based on the scope of the individual’s training and capabilities.Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
State licensure/certification as an Emergency Medical Technician or higher in the appropriate state of practice
BLS (Basic Life Support) within one month of hire
Must meet the driving requirements and criteria acceptable to Essentia Health’s insurer
Current (valid) US/State Driver’s License
