Seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse, Medical Assistant, or Ophthalmic Assistant to serve in our ophthalmology practice at South University Clinic in Fargo, North Dakota. This LPN, CMA, or OA works 40 hours a week, 8 am to 5 pm on weekdays. No weekend, holiday, or on-call rotations are required.Education Qualifications:

LPN or CMA ($21.27, or more with experience):
Assists RN, Physician and other providers and provides direct patient care in the ambulatory and/or home care setting to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health. Will perform identified procedures for which competencies have been demonstrated. Cares for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted on age-related category.
Ophthalmic Assistant ($16.76, or more with experience):
Provides quality care to patients of all ages as defined in the ambulatory care nursing philosophy of Essentia Health. Performs tests and procedures and assists ophthalmologists or optometrists in providing quality eye care.
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
- LPN: ND LPN License required upon hire, MN LPN License required within 3 months of hire.
- Medical Assistant: Current registration or certification as a Medical Assistant OR Verifiable completion of a Medical Assistant Program and must become certified within one year of date of hire. (Must pass certification within two attempts)
- Medical Assistant: Must be registered as a Medication Assistant III through the North Dakota Board of Nursing.
- Ophthalmic Assistant: Current JCAHPO certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant required within 1 year of hire or transfer.
- All: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
