Utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision making skills, works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. Provides health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise.Education Qualifications:
NP: Master's degree in nursing
PA: Bachelor’s degree in a health/science-related field
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
Due to the high demand in services in this bustling practice setting, we are seeking to add to our Dermatology Team at our Gateway location. This is a team-oriented, fast-paced and collaborative group of Dermatologists and nurses. This position would assist in follow-up care after initial consults are performed by the dermatologists.
- 1.0 FTE, full-time status
- Mon-Fri from 8a-5p
- 16-20 patients per day with potential to increase based on provider’s comfort level
- No call/no inpatient rounding
- Previous Dermatology APP experience required
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, while working both independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. The NP/PA will provide health care to individuals emphasizing health promotion, disease prevention and chronic disease management. The position requires high level of interpersonal skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nurse Practitioner program from an accredited program/institution.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Physician Assistant program from an accredited program/institution.
- Previous Dermatology experience required.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Current licensure/ability to secure as a registered nurse in ND.
- Current licensure/ability to secure as a Nurse Practitioner in ND
- Current licensure (or ability to obtain) as a Physician Assistant in appropriate state.
- Current certification in CPR
- National certification, in applicable area.
- Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
