Education Qualifications:

NP:  Master's degree in nursing

PA:  Bachelor’s degree in a health/science-related field

Job Description:

Utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision making skills, works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. Provides health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise.

NP/PA – Family Medicine Regional Float Team – Wisconsin

NW WI Clinics/Hospitals to include: Ashland, Hayward, Superior, and Spooner

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, while working both independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. The NP/PA will provide health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention, caring for patients ranging in age. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers and others.

PRACTICE SPECIFICS

  • Opportunity to work with a collaborative, supportive team which offers 1:1 mentoring
  • Team consists of 3 APC’s, 5 MD’s and 8 Clinical Assistants, and 2 RN’s.
  • The ideal candidate will have a passion for their scope of practice and will be joining an enthusiastic, engaged team of providers dedicated to our community.
  • Position will have a home location of either Ashland, Hayward, Superior, or Spooner and will support at least 2 of our 4 WI clinic sites during a specified period of time
  • Flexibility in choice of home and additional locations
  • Travel to those sites will be included in the candidates workday and reimbursement will be per the Essentia Health policy
  • We offer relocation reimbursement

 
Anticipated Schedule:

  • Full time: 4 days/week and 10 hours/day flexible schedule
  • 100% Clinic Work

EDUCATION:

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in Wisconsin Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Wisconsin Current certification in BLS. National certification, in applicable area. Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.

NP:

  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in appropriate state.
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in appropriate state.
  • Current certification in CPR.
  • National certification in applicable area.
  • Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice

PA:

  • Current licensure as a physician assistant in appropriate state.
  • Current certification in CPR.
  • National certification.
  • Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice
