Provides health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. PRACTICE SPECIFICS
- HUB campus in Virginia, MN includes a 26-member, multi-specialty group including orthopedic surgery, orthopedic medicine, internal medicine, family practice, ENT, anesthesia, dermatology, general surgery, pediatrics, ophthalmology, occupational medicine, OB/GYN, pathology, urology, wound care, primary care, and 20 allied health providers
- Existing robust medical orthopedic practice based in Virginia and the surrounding Arrowhead Region that services as a referral base to the surgical orthopedics team in Virginia
- Surgical first assistant
- Perform histories and physicals; pre and post-op patient education, coordinate diagnostic studies, consultations, procedures and communications
- Post-op management of patients: daily rounds, patients discharge, discharge summaries, post-op clinic visits
- Prescribe pre- and post-op medications
- Hours are variable
- Potential for call (weeknights and weekends)
REQUIREMENTS
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in MN
- (NP) current licensure as a registered nurse in MN
- Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with Masters’ degree; national certification for Physician Assistant
- Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice
- Ability to make complex medical decisions
