Utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision making skills, works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. Provides health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise.Education Qualifications:
Join a Walk-In Care team committed to customer service and patient-centered care. This continually growing clinic provides healthcare services to a variety of patients in both the Walk-In Care and Family Medicine settings. With the added convenience of Lab, Radiology and Therapy Services on-site, your acute care patients will receive care in a timely and efficient manner. The NP/PA will collaborate with a great group of fellow advanced practice clinicians, physicians and support staff. Candidate will be required to rotate among other area walk-in campuses for coverage (ND & MN licensure and DEA required.)
- Must be able to care for all ages within scope of practice. Experience in family medicine, walk-in care, emergency medicine or urgent care setting is preferred!
- 0.9 FTE, full-time status (36 patient contact hours a week; paid hourly)
- 12-hour shifts during the week; typically, 3 days per week and rotating every 4th weekend (4 days the week of weekend coverage)
- Walk-in care patient hours are Monday- Friday from 8:00am to 7:30pm, Saturdays from 9am-4:30pm and Sundays from 12pm-4:30pm.
- Patient volume from 25-35 per 12-hr shift

- ND & MN licensure and DEA required for cross coverage at other Walk-In Clinics
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision- making skills, the NP/PA works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. NP/PAs provide health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nurse Practitioner or Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Physician Assistant program from an accredited program/institution.
- Ability to care for all ages within scope is required. Experience in Family Medicine, Walk-in, Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine is preferred!
- ND & MN licensure and DEA required for cross coverage
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Current licensure as a registered nurse in ND & MN
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in ND & MN
- Current certification in CPR
- National certification, in applicable area.
- Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
