Job Description:

This position provides therapy services to patients of all ages, including evaluation and assessment, treatment, education, and consultation to improve patients’ abilities to their highest possible level. This position provides services as part of a care team assembled to assure optimal clinical and financial outcomes, under the direction of Essentia Health management and the referring physician.

Education Qualifications:

  • This is an outpatient (0.7 FTE) and home health split position (0.3 FTE)
  • Provides therapy evaluation, treatment planning, treatment, patient/caregiver education, and discharge planning for a full caseload of patients
  • Provides all ancillary/administrative requirements for a full caseload of patients, including documentation, billing, scheduling management, and other administrative duties
  • Demonstrates appropriate communication, professionalism and supervision of support staff (licensed assistants, aides, volunteers) and complies with all organization policies
  • Complies with organization code of conduct and meets professional organization core values, code of ethics, &/or scope of practice
  • This position has weekend hospital rotations
  • The primary patient population is adults, however, the therapist will provide care for all age ranges and a wide range of diagnoses with a focus on Myofascial Release (MFR) for patients ages 12 and up
  • MFR experience preferred, but not necessary for application
  • We are committed to providing supportive mentorship and advancement of education to ensure MFR skills are adequate and promote provider confidence

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

Certification/Licensure Requirements:

  • Current state licensure as Occupational Therapist

Homecare Departments:

  • Must meet the driving requirements and criteria acceptable to Essentia Health’s insurer
  • BLS certified or ability to become certified within 1 month from hire date
