Job Description:
Responsible for organizing and providing nursing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation and job descriptions. Contributes to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.Education Qualifications:
- This casual position has expectations of assisting with "on call" needs on weekdays and weekends as needs arise due to ill call, nurses looking for coverage of their "on call" shift, FMLA etc
- There is a 30-minute response time for "on call".
- Weekday scheduled shifts are as follows:
- E" is for early shift- RN arrives 30 minutes prior to the scheduled arrival of the first patient.
- “D" is for Days- 0700-1530 shift
- "L" is for Late- 0800-1630 shift
- "9" is for 0900-1730 shift
- Must have 2-5 years circulating experience"
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within one year
East Market:
For SMMC Location, Interventional Radiology (12280) department only: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within one year.
