Education Qualifications:
Key Responsibilities:
- Gathers and documents process improvements with Revenue Cycle members on needed business objectives to increase efficiency and achieve strategic goals
- Develops and proposes solutions by reviewing available system(s) and use of technology
- Documents current state workflows and proposed future state with stakeholders
- Develops project documentation, assembles key stakeholder team, and coordinates project activities while developing and fostering collaborative partnerships to improve services
- Interacts with the information services & revenue services team members to coordinate system build, testing, and enhancements needed to achieve goals
- Reviews EHR upgrade notes for assigned modules and recommends technology enhancements and optimizations that will positively impact the revenue cycle
- Develops standard of work documents needed to implement solutions and education for end users in collaboration with IS and department team members
- Prepares project reports reflecting the goal and improvements achieved
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with a preference in business, change management, information systems, or healthcare-related field
Required Qualifications:
- 2 years of relevant work experience in revenue cycle, informatics, healthcare technology or a closely related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Epic certification in Revenue Cycle application preferred
- Analytical and effective communication skills necessary to collaborate with department heads, supervisors, senior management, and others in evaluating problems and assessing the solutions
- Ability to effectively use a computer and a variety of software programs to compile, organize, analyze, and display data, trends and information
Job Description:
The Revenue Services Informaticist improves efficiency within the revenue services departments through process analysis and re-design. Identifying optimal build and changes in processes within the EHR (Epic or others) and supporting applications to achieve automation or other best in class processes. Collaborates with key stakeholders (clinical operations, revenue cycle and information services) to synthesize, articulate, and document business objectives and requirements by applying system and analytical thinking methodologies and discipline. Makes recommendations and creates a plan to reduce waste and improve revenue capture; ultimately achieving optimal system effectiveness. Responsible for redesign coordination, implementation, and execution of solutions, including leading project teams, creating & monitoring progress, facilitating, scheduling, adhering to deadlines, and developing education and communication for impacted team members.Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

- Must obtain Epic certification in assigned module(s) within 6 months of employment
