Job Description SummaryEvaluates, plans, treats and implements care for patients in the areas of speech, language, cognition and swallowing accordance with professional standards of the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) using any established Clinical Practice Guidelines.Education Qualifications:
Key responsibilities:
- The therapist will have primary responsibility treating patients on the inpatient rehabilitation unit on one of the stroke teams. When schedules allow, flexing to support acute care patients may occur.
- This is an Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) that provides intensive rehabilitation to patients after major medical events, trauma, etc.
- The therapist will work with an interdisciplinary team including PTs, OTs, SLPs, PTAs and COTAs, psychology, nutrition, recreational therapy, nursing, social services, and physicians and advance practice providers
- Will work primarily with adult patients & occasionally with pediatric patients
- The ideal candidate will have experience with dysphagia and cognitive assessment/management
- This position has a required weekend and holiday rotation
- Most worked days are weekdays with typical hours are 7:30 AM- 4:00 PM

- Current registration/license to practice speech-language pathology in the state of practice
