Education Qualifications:

The Rehabilitation Services Team at Essentia Health St. Mary's Hospital-Superior is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join their team.

The SLP will:

  • Have a mixed caseload of both pediatric and adult patients across the lifespan
  • Work closely with the PT and OT members of the rehab team
  • Enjoy working in a diverse, rural practice treating both outpatients (primarily) and inpatients
  • Work M-F, no holidays or weekends

Ideal candidate is an experienced CCC-SLP with history of treating diverse patients of all ages. This position is able to accept CFY candidates.

Job Description:

Evaluates, plans, treats and implements care for patients in the areas of speech, language, cognition and swallowing accordance with professional standards of the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) using any established Clinical Practice Guidelines.Key Responsibilities:Provides therapy evaluation, treatment planning, treatment, patient/caregiver education, and discharge planning for a full caseload of patientsProvides all ancillary/administrative requirements for a full caseload of patients, including documentation, billing, scheduling management, and other administrative dutiesDemonstrates appropriate communication, professionalism and supervision of support staff (licensed assistants, aides, volunteers) and complies with all organization policiesComplies with organization code of conductMeets professional organization core values, code of ethics, &/or scope of practiceWork where the patient need is highest (including flexing to other departments) when home department schedule allowsProvide staff education, participate/lead committee groups, participate in staff onboarding/orientationMay serve as a clinical instructor, participate in department or therapy discipline committees, and complete credential/certification that would benefit patient careEducational Requirements:Master's degree from accredited speech and language pathology program
